Deep in a Dream is a live album, comprising songs penned by late Triffids songwriter David McComb performed by several of his friends, colleagues and contemporaries. The album was produced by Tornado Alley, the filmmakers behind a documentary in production on McComb called Love in Bright Landscapes.
The album brings together The Blackeyed Susans (with guest Triffids Graham Lee & Rob McComb), Charles Jenkins, Mick Thomas and Shackleton, Diving Bell and The Mimeset all performing selections from McComb’s incredible songbook. Deep in a Dream is the recording of that incredible gig - a live tribute to the late David McComb.
"McComb's songs swarm with life - delivered ferocious with emotion, written with a literary arc, in considered language, his rich songbook by turns harrowing, archly funny, deliciously black. It's wonderful to hear McComb's songs ... brought to life."
